How do I make a personalized song in my own voice?

Pick a song that already means something to them, sing about a minute of anything so Tera Studio can learn your voice (2 minutes sounds more like you), then add the song. About 20 minutes later you have the whole song sung in your voice, over its original music, to give, play or post. What makes it personal is your voice and your choice of song; the words stay the song's own. Pick a song for the occasion

Make it in three steps

2. Sing for a minute or two. Record on the page or upload a recording. Sing anything you know; it doesn't have to be the same song or language. You don't have to sing well: the tune and timing come from the song.

One thing decides how much it sounds like you: the room. In October 2026, of 22 rated Tera Studio songs whose voice was recorded over steady background noise (a fan, air conditioning or traffic), 21 were rated Needs work. Record somewhere quiet with no music playing. If a song still doesn't sound like you, rate it Needs work and sing about 2 more minutes for a free remake.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put their name in the song? Not with Tera Studio: it keeps the song's own words and changes only the voice to yours. For new words with a name in them, use a custom-song service or a song generator.

Do I need to be a good singer? No. The melody and timing come from the recording you choose; your minute of singing only teaches Tera Studio what your voice sounds like.

How long does it take? About 20 minutes for your first song, because your voice is learned first. Later songs reuse your voice and are faster. We email you when it's ready.

Can I give it as a gift? Yes. With a plan you can download the song as a WAV file or a video with the song card, and short vertical clips for sharing. Use a song you have permission to transform, and keep it to personal sharing unless you have the music rights.

Which songs work best? Songs with one clear lead singer from start to finish. Choirs, duets and heavily layered vocals are harder, because the software can't tell which voice should become yours.

Can I make it in another language? Yes. The words and pronunciation come from the song, so any language with a clear lead singer works, and the song doesn't need to be in the language you sing your minute in.
