Is it really free?
Yes. It’s free with a free account: 3 songs a day, and listen as often as you like. Downloading and sharing the result need a plan.
How is this different from the vocal remover?
The vocal remover gives you the music without the singer. The karaoke maker goes further: you sing over that music with your microphone, change its key and hear yourself back.
Do I need headphones?
They help. With headphones the microphone hears only you. Without them it also picks up the music, and your take sounds less clear.
Is my singing uploaded?
No. Your singing is recorded and played back in your browser, and it is gone when you leave the page. Only the song you choose is uploaded, to take the singer out.
My voice sounds early or late. What can I do?
Move the Voice timing slider under your take until you and the music line up. Bluetooth headphones add a delay, so wired ones keep you closest in time.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.
How long can the song be?
Up to 10 minutes with a free account, and up to 20 minutes with a plan.
Is my song private?
Yes. Only you can play your results, and they are deleted after 3 days. We never share your songs.
Can I hear the song in my own voice?
Yes, that is what Tera Studio is for: sing along once and Tera turns your voice into the whole song. Your first 2 songs are free to make and hear.
Can I use a YouTube link?
No. Choose a song or video file from your phone or computer. The tool can’t open YouTube, Spotify or other links.
Can I use a video?
Yes. Choose an MP4, MOV or WebM file and we use its sound. The results are audio.
Does it show the lyrics?
No. You get the music without the singer, and you sing from memory or from your own lyrics.
