What effects are there?
Eight: Lower voice, Higher voice, Chipmunk, Monster, Robot, Alien, Phone call and Echo. Pick one to hear it, then pick another to try it on the same recording.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and needs no account. The download is free too, with no watermark.
Is my voice uploaded?
No. Your recording is changed in your browser and never leaves your device.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in the browser on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers, and you can record straight into the page.
Can it make a man sound like a woman, or a woman like a man?
Not quite. Higher voice raises your pitch by 5 semitones and your voice’s resonance a little; Lower voice does the opposite. You sound younger or bigger, but still like yourself.
Does it change my voice live, while I talk?
No. It changes a recording: record here or choose a file, then pick an effect. Live voice changers for games and calls are apps that install a virtual microphone.
How do I make my voice deeper?
Choose or record your voice and pick Lower voice: it lowers your pitch by 5 semitones and your voice’s resonance a little, so you sound bigger, not slowed down. Monster goes much further, 9 semitones down with some grit.
Can I change the voice in a video?
Yes. Choose an MP4 or WebM video and the voice in its sound is changed. You get the changed sound back as a WAV, not the video.
Does it use AI?
No. It uses classic sound processing on your device: PSOLA and a phase vocoder move the pitch, and filters, an echo and a ring modulator do the rest. Nothing is uploaded.
Is there an app to download?
No, and you don’t need one: it works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer.
